Frequently asked questions
What is the process to apply to foreign universities?
Once you’ve made a final selection of the courses you intend to apply to you can begin your application through the IDP Live app. Select the ‘Apply with IDP’ button on the first course you wish to apply to. You can start filling out the application form in your own time and it’ll save as you go. If you get stuck, you can submit it unfinished or speak with your IDP counsellor. Once you’ve completed the form you can reuse it for multiple applications. You will also be guided to upload all the necessary documents. Once your counsellor has verified your application details and documents they will proceed to submit your application to the university.
How do I check if I can get in before I apply?
If your shortlisted course has an IDP FastLane tag, you can check if you’re likely to be accepted even before applying. You will need to first create an IDP account and complete your academic/FastLane profile. If you meet the entry criteria for the course, you’ll receive an Offer in Principle from the university. If you choose to apply using the Offer in Principle, the institution will process your application 2 to 3 times faster!
How can I improve my acceptance chances?
To give you the best of chance of acceptance, we recommend you shortlist three best courses you are most likely to pursue. Before applying, make sure you have checked all entry requirements, intake dates and deadlines for the course you intend to apply to. Fill out the application form as accurately as possible. Our expert counsellors will review your application and documents to ensure your submission is polished and optimised to give you the best chance of being accepted.
